OEKO-TEX® - What You Need To Know
Elliotts explained how its Proban Welding range is Okeo-Tex certified for peace of mind.
When looking for work clothes, you always want to ensure that it is certified to Australian and New Zealand Standards, to ensure that it meets the needs of your job. However, not everyone considers what may actually be in the fabric of their protective gear or how it could be affecting their health. This is where the Okeo-Tex Standard 100 comes in…
What is the Okeo-Tex Standard 100
The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 tests include around 100 parameters and take into account the textiles’ intended use. This means that the more intensive the skin contact of a textile product, the stricter the human ecological requirements to be met.
Proban Welders Cap with NapeThis label (pictured) indicates that every component of the gear, including threads, buttons, zips, and linings, has been tested for harmful substances to ensure that your health is protected. These tests are also conducted on the basis of the extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue which is updated at least once a year and expanded with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements.
